New course announcement: High Voltage UPS and R&D Qualified Electrical Worker Training is now live on the ElecTrain website. This is a two-day, 16-hour course focused on electrical safety for high-voltage UPS systems and research and development environments.
Built around the equipment and work
The course brings together high-voltage hazard evaluation and safe work practices for batteries, power conversion equipment, capacitors, supercapacitors, and solid-state transformers. Equipment-focused discussions and task scenarios connect risk assessment, work planning, isolation, protective equipment, and safe testing to research, operation, and service activities.
Participants also evaluate design improvements and hazard-mitigation options for safer research and service, such as mid-pack fusing, battery sectionalization, built-in absence-of-voltage testing, and engineered test ports.

Who should attend?
This course is intended for engineers, researchers, technicians, electricians, maintenance personnel, supervisors, and safety professionals who design, assemble, test, operate, maintain, or plan work around high-voltage UPS and R&D equipment.
Training supports task-specific qualification. Employers determine and document each worker’s qualifications and authorization for assigned equipment and work.
