Experience that makes training matter.
ElecTrain helps organizations improve electrical safety through practical training, consultation, and performance.
Our work
ElecTrain helps organizations address electrical hazards across commercial and industrial facilities, power generation and utility systems, data centers, and the growing fields of electric vehicles and high voltage batteries. Our training addresses the needs of workers, technicians, supervisors, engineers, and emergency responders, connecting electrical safety principles to the systems and situations they encounter.
Our work extends beyond the classroom. We support organizations through safety program development, consultation, program audits, incident investigation, and incident energy analysis. Whether the need involves an established electrical system or a new technology, we help teams understand the hazards, evaluate their practices, and identify practical improvements.
Clear explanations and practical application guide everything we do. We make complex topics understandable and training relevant to the work—helping organizations build knowledge, strengthen safety practices, and prepare their people for the tasks ahead.

Andrew Olsen
Andrew Olsen, president of ElecTrain, brings a broad background in electrical systems, technical instruction, and workplace safety to his training and consulting. His experience spans electronics studies at a technical college, nine years as a nuclear-trained electrician’s mate in the U.S. Navy, and work in commercial nuclear power, electrical instruction, shop supervision, and college curriculum development.
One of Andrew’s strengths as an instructor is his ability to make complex technical topics easy to understand. He connects electrical theory and safety requirements to practical examples and the work people actually perform, helping learners apply what they learn.
Through ElecTrain, Andrew provides training and consulting in electrical safety, electric vehicles, and high voltage battery systems. His approach combines technical depth with clear explanations, making training meaningful to the people and organizations he serves.
